Amazing-ness

Last year, thanks to my pal, Kia, and my favorite section of her blog, "Pick Me Up of the Week", I discovered Pogo, a YouTube wonder who somehow fashions amazing songs and videos from movie sound clips. A few weeks ago, Matt showed me another Pogo creation that was featured on the Pixar website. It's called UPular Remix and it is awesome awesome awesome...

Also, if you head over to last.fm, you can download all of Pogo's music (gratis) and your iPod can be filled with happiness just like mine.

Addendum

The previous tag line for our blog:

"Welcome to our little nook in the universe of blogs. We love Gossip Girl. We know you love it too. We sign our blog -chuck and blair- to pay homage to our favorite dastardly duo on television."

What it should say now:

"Welcome to our little nook in the universe of internet peoples. We don't love Gossip Girl so much anymore. We don't care if you still love it. We have to wonder about your opinions on television if you do. We still sign our blog -chuck and blair- to pay homage to what was once our favorite dastardly duo on TV, and because we are unsure of how to change it. Peace out."

You Know Who's Attractive? (And I don't care who knows it!)

Newly 18 (so, less creepy, right?) Logan Lerman...

While the jury is still out on whether or not Logan Lerman is an awkward crush, I am prepared to state that I don't care if he's five years younger than me- he's DARLING! Percy Jackson and the Olympians movie? Perhaps.

(Obviously, a big thanks to logan-lerman.com for the photos. Oh, fan sites- the perfect antidote to stalking.)

Globes of the Golden Variety

It was the goal at our house to get our cable turned back on in time to watch the Golden Globes tonight, and we did it! Success!

So, a quick recap...

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer (from True Blood)
I'd love to go on and on about Anna's beautiful dress,
but I have no clue who designed it.
Thanks a bunch, Ryan Secrest.

Sandra Bullock in Bottega Veneta (you know this baby was expensive).
I didn't realize how sheer it was until she went on stage to accept
her award for Best Actress. I thought we might get a glimpse
of her special purpose!

Christian Dior's current muse, Marion Cotillard (I LOVE YOU)
wore a stunning gown by...guess who?
Not sure what this color is called, but it's really cool.

Glee star Lea Michele was very, very red carpet-worthy
in classy Oscar.

This Marchesa number was only meh.
Plus, Kate Hudson's inside of it, and I'm not a big fan.

Yes, it's a nice dress and all, but I wouldn't go as far
as calling Fergie a "Grecian goddess".
And what unnatural forces are at work in her hair?

While I adore Julia Roberts, I wish she'd gone a little less casual.
However, her necklace is really awesome and
the dress IS vintage YSL, so there's that...

One of my favorite dresses of the night.
Emily Blunt is so so so pretty in floaty Dolce & Gabbana.

It's not a big secret that I've got a thing for Drew Barrymore.
She did look very nice, but what's with the growth on her hip?!
One clump of glittery spikes is plenty.

Although I can appreciate her girl-next-door/one-of-the-boys appeal,
Cameron Diaz is slightly snooze cat in this Alexander McQueen.
And did she really think she could roll baller status with the people sitting at her table?
Um hello: Martin Scorcese, Robert DeNiro, Leo DiCaprio, and Tom Hanks!

I'm not saying that Courtney Cox doesn't look amazing for her age,
but girlfriend was so jacked on Botox, she barely looked
human during her red carpet interview.

Could anyone really steal the spotlight from
Christina Hendricks' (in custom Christian Siriano) boobs?
I don't think so.

"An advertiser's dream"

First of all, I love, love, love Drew Barrymore. And I am a huge fan of her as a Covergirl. Paige always said that I was an advertiser's dream, and I see more and more every day how accurate that is. In the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic, Rebecca Bloomwood relates the euphoric feeling of shopping to "butter sliding down hot toast". Well, that's how I feel when I see a cool commercial or magazine ad-- "I want it. Now. Like, right now."

(Every problem starts somewhere)

True story: I was reading some sort of gossip magazine that I probably grabbed approximately three seconds before reaching the cashier at Kroger, and I flipped to an enticing ad for Covergirl Lash Blast mascara featuring the lovely Miss Barrymore. I was instantaneously intrigued. Only seconds later, I saw Drew and her mascara dancing around on TV. I recall it being a very blissful moment. "Ooo, I want that stuff," I said under my breath. Before Paige even had time to laugh at me, I was putting my shoes on to venture to the nearest CVS.

I have come to terms with the fact that I have issues, but come on, doesn't she just make you want to buy things?

I want these.

Fierce.

This looks like something I could like.

After seeing this ad for the second time, I remembered that I needed these.

Consumerism love,

Hannah
